Return Policy

All product returns must have a Return Authorization number (RA) in order to be accepted and processed. To obtain an RA number please email us at returns@ctausa.com. Please include the following information:

  • Name and daytime phone number
  • Your purchase order number (example XXXXX)
  • The reason for the return (defective product, wrong item shipped, etc.)

We will respond to your email within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) providing you with a return authorization number (RA) and return address. If the requested return does not meet the criteria for a valid return, you will be informed of such via our reply email.

Returns not accompanied by an RA number will be refused and the parcel returned to the sender. Please print clearly the RA number in at least two conspicuous spots on the outside of all parcels being returned. An RA is only valid for a two-week period from the date of issuance. All products must be returned “Freight Prepaid” shipped via a freight carrier e.g. UPS, FedEx, etc. As a means to expedite the return and credit process email (returns@ctausa.com) Car Truck Accessories with the return tracking number. Products returned via US Mail will be refused.

If a return is due to a manufacturing defector or incorrect product shipment, in most cases the product manufacturer will pay the shipping cost to return the item(s).Typically, a pre-paid UPS or Federal Express return label will be emailed or mailed to you. In most situations regarding these type of returns, the manufacturer requests photographs of defected or erroneously shiped item prior to issuing a pre-paid shipping label.

All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee except when an item is being returned due to a manufacturing defect. Any item altered at the request of the customer to include logos and/or monograms is considered a customized product and as such, the price of the logo and/or monogram will be deducted from the amount of credit. Car Truck Accessories is currently unable to accept returns on used items or items returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Credit Card Billing (Capturing Funds)

If an order contains multiple items, the total amount of the order will be captured and billed to the customers credit card account upon shipment of the first item. The exception to this is when an item is placed on back-order and will not ship for an extended period. In this case, only those funds for the item(s) shipped will be captured and billed to the customers credit card account. Upon receiving notice of shipment for back-ordered item(s), those funds will be captured and billed accordingly to the customers credit card account.

Credits

Credits will be applied to the credit card used in the original sale transaction for the purchase price of the product and applicable sales tax minus any restocking fee and original shipping cost (if applicable). A credit will be issued once the returned product has been inspected by Car Truck Accessories or the manufacturer and determined to be in new condition. New condition is defined as a product that is unused, not soiled, includes the original packaging and documentation and is fit to be resold as a new item. If the returned product is in a condition other than new, a credit will not be issued. At the customer’s option, the product can be returned to them “freight collect“. Please allow up to 30-days for a credit to be applied to your credit card account once a return authorization has been issued.

Refused Shipments

Shipments returned as undeliverable for any reason will be considered refused. Should customer contact Car Truck Accessories and request re-shipment, customer will be responsible for additional freight charges.

Warranty Claim

Failure to completely follow the installation instructions included with all products sold by Car Truck Accessories will automatically void the manufacturer’s warranty. Car Truck Accessories cannot be held responsible for neglect or mistake of the installer. Please refer to the specific product warranty for further information.
